Power point: Storyboard
My experience with powerpoint, especially at university, is it is static, text-based and each slide held relevant points to the topic. It was non-interactive and boring. At university I was so caught up in trying to write down all the text from the slide that I completely missed the point that the lecturer was talking about. Since participating in powerpoints throughout the digital 3 technologies group, I have realised how interactive a powerpoint can be and how it is a useful presentational tool for teachers to embed image and sound, to make images from slides and make stop motion movies.
With the incorporation of sound and image students can identify with the main topics being discussed. It is a presentation avenue introducing other digital tools to the classroom. Powerpoints are sequential and linear; which organise class activities and appeals to a range of learning styles.
